To protect the public and Township staff and to help minimize the spread of COVID-19 virus, all community halls, the arena, and all branches of Seguin Public Library will be closed, and all ice & facility rentals suspended, effective Sunday, March 15, 2020 through until Sunday, April 5, 2020 or until further notice. All programs listed in the calendar are canceled under the current plan until at least the week of April 5, 2020. Due to efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect all individuals, procedures for Township of Seguin Council meetings are being modified. Council will be conducting meetings electronically. The Council Chambers will not be open for public attendance at Council meetings until further notice. The Council Meeting will be live streamed on the Township of Seguin's YouTube Channel
Council meeting agendas, agenda packages, addendum packages and minutes are posted on the Township's website.
The public may submit written comments to Council's attention to the municipal office regarding agenda matters via email to email@example.com or facsimile (705) 732-6347 or regular mail or the municipal office drop box outside the main entrance to the municipal office located at 5 Humphrey Drive. Written comments related to an agenda item submitted by 9:00 a.m. on the regular business day preceding the scheduled meeting where that item will be considered will be considered as public information and submitted to Council and become part of the public record.
The Township is encouraging delegates to provide written delegations as in-person delegations are not being permitted at this time.
The Mayor will be in the Chambers along with a reduced number of senior staff during meetings. The remaining Members of Council and staff will participate electronically.
